Falcon Foundation Scholarship
At the Air Force Academy, we’re looking for more than just grades. If we think you’ve got what it takes but may need to brush up on your academics to fully succeed at the U.S. Air Force Academy, we have options. In addition to the Academy Prep School located at the U.S. Air Force Academy, we also offer Falcon Foundation scholarships to prep schools around the country.
We Recognize Potential
Only students who have already applied to the Academy will be considered as there is not a separate application process for the Falcon Foundation scholarships.
The Falcon Foundation recognizes that many deserving young people might need additional academic preparation to help them realize their potential for an Academy education and Air Force or Space Force career. To meet this need, the Foundation provides annual scholarship grants to specially selected civilian junior college and preparatory schools throughout the country. When you apply to the U.S. Air Force Academy, you’re automatically considered for these scholarships. Please keep in mind you will have to reapply to the Academy the next year, but a significant proportion of our Falcon Foundation scholars receive appointments.
In addition to giving students a way to continue their education, these scholarships also provide a significant enough amount to cover a portion of the cost of room, board and tuition. Recipients must be able to pay for transportation to and from school and for clothing, laundry and other personal expenses.
The Foundation acquires the funds needed to maintain its scholarship program through memberships, contributions and donations. The number of scholarships awarded annually is determined by the funds available. Each sponsorship is dedicated in honor of a pioneer in aviation or individuals who have distinguished themselves in aviation or defense positions. All fiduciary relationships regarding these scholarships are with the Falcon Foundation, not with the United States Air Force Academy.
